I was very dissappointed how the Offenhauser dual quad did on the Mopar magazine 383 dyno test. Very non exciting numbers- even against manifolds of the same era. Offy claimed their designs privided equal mixture thru out the rpm range. I know my setup will leave some on the table but the looks of a low rise dual quad on a V8 is intoxicating.

Or was that a "Dual Port?" which is a torque MPG type manifold.

Dual port was lackluster also. Offenhauser manifolds are single plane but not like a dominator or torker. The modern single plane has a plenum and individual runners. The Offenhausers are just a hollow manifold body with port "windows" that guide the mixture into the head ports. Offy did decide to get with the program with their Port O Sonic. That is a single plane that looks like a victor or strip dominator. You guys notice any cars with blowers sitting on modified Offy dual quad intakes? Now that I mentioned it you will probably notice it. Not on chevies but on BOPs and mopars.

Keep old mopars alive.

Mark,

Throw the D-66 in the truck when we do the 360 deal, I'd like to see it, like I said I haven't seen one in 20 yrs.

Pretty sure it was a small port but again it was a long time ago.

IMHO, Edelbrock make dual quads for SB Chevies for the street rod crowd who are looking to jazz up their Targetmaster 350's. The 351 Ford is one i'd like to see though, if it's an RPM type i might swap one on my 427 Stroker Cobra

I went though this a few years ago when I was building my 360. The D66 is a small port 318/273 manifold. The D64 is the same thing except it is drilled for the early 273 intake bolt angle.

I was gonna run one anyways, but couldn't find one at the time and in the end went with a RPM/670 Holley combo that I'm very happy with, I just love the look of dual quads with 2 6" round air cleaners.

I later saw edelbrock makes a 2x4 version of the RPM for SBC's like someone mentioned, I wish we could get one of those...At least for a 440 you can run a CH28 which I've always heard is a decent piece.
