Ok, so I got the trans from my son's 1990 4x4 Dakota torn down and the small accumulator spring was missing. Is this something I need to worry about?

Is it a 42rh or 46rh. Is it a V8 or V6? Not that any of this matters to your question. I'm still just trying to nail down which trans I have in my 91 V8 truck.

Yup, that's what my research showed. The FSM doesn't show it, but the FPM does.

91 was still the LA series engine probably an A500. does pan look like the older 904 or does it look like 727 pan?
