Being right smack dab in the middle of the country, I really miss Hardens also. It's just not the same since Classic Industries bought them out. Dante's, Herb's and Dixie Parts have mostly been my go to guys. twocents

Dante's. If I can get it there, I do. Great customer support. They run their business well at all levels. Had an issue one time.... with some parts I got, called and let them know the situation. Without a hassle, they shipped me another set of what I needed with zero red tape. Made me a believer. There are a number of suppliers out there. Sometimes it seems only one or two has the part you need but anymore, most all suppliers seem to have similar parts. With that being the case it simply comes down to who treats you the best when going to a supplier. Customer service is the defining factor for return customers ... for me anyway.

Why didn't you include Laysons, MrMoparts, Classic Industries etc. in the survey?

I'm thinking this was more of a poll of the enthusiast/down home/mom and pop vendors (for lack of a better term) at the time (see date of original OP's post)? Not so much the hugh "big box" sellers with maybe "call center" type customer service (no offence intended to some of you big guys with good, knowledgeable staff)if you need to call with a question. I've been able to talk with most of the listed vendors at national and local events and even stopped by Dante's and Tony's homes and had a great time, I doubt I could do that with Laysons, Classic Industries or Year One.....but maybe I could if I get an invitation sometime soon. biggrin wink

MrMoparts is a two man band

I deliberately left him out because I thought that might be the case...........on the other hand he's out of AZ and may not have been well known to the OP back in 2011 and he only got into the Mopar restoration business in 2005 according to his "about us":

About Us

MrMoparts began from a love of cars back in 1988. In the beginning with a 600 square feet of space we thought we had it all. After two more moves to bigger locations and a fantastic start in the manufacturing of parts we closed over retail location in 2000 and concentrated on the manufacturing end of the business. In 2005, after great succes in the GM and Ford market we dove into the Mopar market and started MrMoparts. We continue to manufacture GM, Ford and now Mopar parts for the restoration marketplace. In addition to the manufacturing and MrMoparts has grown to become one of the leaders in restoration parts. With the addition of our semi trailer that we bring to the show, we know you will find everything you need to complete your restoration.

Not to get into a spitting contest but why the upset over a 5-year old post and poll? Spring is just around the corner.

Here's the deal: I'm not familiar with most of the vendors included in your poll. Being from Canada, I started off going directly to Year One back in the late 80's and after my wallet grew thin with shipping using UPS and carrier charges, I discovered "the internet" and eBay. It is quite possible that I have bought from every vendor listed in the poll if they were using eBay. Why wouldn't they? But even if they did and still do, I'd have to say eBay because I always do a Google search for the restoration item that I want to buy. 95% of the time the search begins with an eBay auction. after that, you get the vendors or persons with the item for sale. Most of the time I don't pay attention to who they are. Just their feedback rating. My 2 cents.

Similar story as Helbing, I'm from Canada and back in the mid-late 80's I would still go to the dealership for some items, Year One got a lot of my money and I still have the Rallye rims I bought at MCO Motor City Originals, even used to get a printed list of parts mailed to me from Brad's NOS.

Magazine subscriptions and the forums have lead me to various vendors and I now directly buy from Mega Parts, Dante's, Bill Rolick, etc.
