I am curious too. You are at the point where I was when I gave up. Could not get the system to draw down to a good vacuum. Since I was using R-12, getting a seal was important to me. Craig

Can you tell me if they are used in conjunction with a o-ring? 71muffin No, just the gasket.

Forget the o-ring. Just use the gasket.

I would contact an auto a/c repair shop in Florida & see what they have to offer and or say about what to use. Just did a goggle search & found www.Omega-usa.com using key words {Chrysler rv-2 gaskets ] looks like they have some nice gaskets.

Years ago I called Classic Auto Air, in Tampa Florida. They sold all the gaskets to rebuild the RV2 compressor. If I recall right, they were made out of some sort of vegetable based material. It was orange or pink in color. The compressor was leak free after I replaced the gaskets. http://www.classicautoair.com/Ron
