dakrt23 OP member D Joined: May 2007 Posts: 64 san diego, ca	i have a rebuilt 360 with iron heads, 4 barrel carter AFB... it is definitely cold blooded and doesnt want to idle till its nice and warm, but once i get driving and the car is warm if i go into neutral or park the idle jumps to 2000 RPM or so and wont come back down until it goes into drive... whats causing the high idle when warm??... how should i fix it... thanks!

hooziewhatsit master Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 3,908 Oregon	Yea, make sure the high-idle cam isn't stuck and propping the throttle open. After that, sounds like the idle needs to be reset. Use the procedure on page 6 here http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/mc/carbs_acc/pdf/carb_owners_manual.pdf -Dave If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

Anonymous Unregistered A	If you have a factory choke spring mounted on intake manifold make sure the exhaust crossover gets hot.

coro500net mopar C Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 480 templeton,ma	check your throttle cable,when engine gets hot it may tighten up,happend to me before, same way it happened to you.
