I have a Street Dominator intake for my W2 stroker (414ci). I know the street dominator has a poor rep for standard heads but this W2 version looks OK to me? My application will be in my street/strip (mostly street) Challenger vert, engine should be 450-500HP. What do you guys think, is there a much better intake for this combo or should I stay with this one. I'm not looking to spend money for the sake of it, but if this is a weak link then no point in compromising the other money I spent on the rest of the engine. Hood clearance allowing, I'd plan to use a spacer, and also will do some port matching and deflashing on the intake. Also (confession time - I have a sneaking hankering to try out one of DS thermoquads on this engine!!!! If I did I'd either need an intake which allowed a spreadbore too, or I guess I could use an adaptor - but I have heard bad things about those..........?

I have never used the dominator but have used the Indy and liked it but I also had a dom adapter on it so that added more plenum volume. What size carb are you using with your currant manifold. I have used the holley intake and didnt like it at all

Good input, keep it coming I don't have a current carb as the engine isn't built, but I'll be looking around the 800-850cfm range I think. Well I thought the Strip Dominator was a better intake than this Street Dominator, and if that sucked...... (Interestingly from your pic it looks like the Strip D has a dual pattern carb mount, even though mine doesn't...but not sure the profiled opening wouldn't foul a TQ's secondaries?)

If you want something trick..put a W-8 intake on it..I have seen it done and looks cool..takes alot of cutting and welding..
Richard O-Malley did one for a guy that raced a demon in KOS one year..His name was Eric Anderson..

I didn't see the HP numbers you were looking for..Sorry about that..We used to run strip and street dominators on our W-2 motors years ago..
The W-8 manifold was a neat deal..for a max effort W-2 motor..

Eric Anderson's old 9.20" R3 W2 motor blew up & that block is now becoming Mike Gray's new 417" W8 N20 motor that I should have on dyno fairly soon. Anderson's was 48* W2 deal, the normal W2 intakes don't fit a 48* 15* valve angle W2 correctly, you have to modify them even on the tall deck. There is only one 9.20" W2 manifold, the MP M1, it's an OK piece I have a couple here, but for max effort short deck deal, yeah you need to do a W8 style manifold. Dealing with the water outlets & valley tray is biggest hassle there. The newer W2's not too bad, the water passages are small enough you can easily drill/tap them for NPT to AN fittings.

The Victor is 4.250" in the front and 5.500" in the back. (Straight edge across carburetor flange to block)
INDY is 7.00" front and rear.
The Victor actually is shorter than a Performer RPM.
