I see (or should I say "hear") the gasket's leaking. Is this a hard job? I want to do this myself if I can. I've done a couple small block intake remove/replacements. Or should I have a shop do this?

If you can do a small block you can do this.

I agree they are pretty easy.Just watch the bolts dont snap.Had a few at work that they were either broke or snapped.Once the intake was off there was enought to screw the broken part out.Rocky

sometimes a small 3/8" impact [like a "butterfly" gun] will lessen the possibility of snapping the bolts. if a bolt does snap, i would replace all just to be safe. on re-assembly, i use high temp anti seize on the threads. not a tough job at all. helps on plug changes to remove the upper plenum.
