My 215/75R15 passenger car tires should probably be replaced before my car hits the asphalt again. I just looked at the M&H 26" x 15" DOT radial and thought it might be a good replacement, plus it would lower the front of the car a tad. It sits pretty much level with the current tire sizes, suspension setup, etc.

It would be a lot more bad-ass if it wasn't a dust-covered pile of parts spread across my garage & basement.
The picture makes it look nicer than it is, but it's been mine since 1995 and has always been more of a car to hammer on than wash & wax. It is (was) a 10-second 20-footer... not likely to get any better in the looks department since the $ I spend on it is always on making it faster... or fixing it.

Brad they drive a lot nicer then bias ply front runners on the street. For me they acted like a little taller tire staging, because of the radial tire squish.
They do weigh a little more, and they want a little wider wheel from what I saw. I still have mine for when I want to drive the car around

I hear you on that, my red charger is a grayish-white from metal/fiberglass dust. All of these cars were meant to be pounded on, that's what makes them cool. This is coming from a guy with a half mile long gravel driveway lol it makes me want to cry. My friend that helps me with body work and paint says the paint is wearing off of my cars one trip at a time. Whatever, they are meant to be driven. Again, nice looking car it would be cool to see more pictures of it inside and out.

They do weigh a little more, and they want a little wider wheel from what I saw. I still have mine for when I want to drive the car around At one point my front street tires were Moroso Drag Specials, for what that's worth. I have 5" wheels, and I see different recommendations for widths depending on whose listing I read. I'd expect a 5" would be fine, although some said it needed 4" rims... which I sold with those Morosos I used to run.

I called them directly...they said it's basically meant for track only use. Any major amount of street driving and it'll wear quickly and and decrease it's life overall. Is rated at over 1300# however. Mike That's odd, especially since they push their Drag Radial series as dual-purpose tires. The MoPig is far from a daily driver (when it is running...), so they still sound reasonable for my intended use.

Back from the dead! After looking at both the M/T S/R 26x6.00R15 and the M&H 185/75R15, I'd prefer the M&H, if for no other reason than the M/T tire is really much closer to 25" tall. That's shorter than I want to run with a legit 28" tire on the back. The M&H also has a much higher load rating at the same 35 PSI pressure (1320 vs 990), which should be better suited to my BB E-body that's no lightweight. Any final(?) or updated comments on the M&H front radials would be appreciated before I pull out the Visa card.

got a set of the MT 28x6"fronts in my shop yesterday . Any idea how tall they really are vs the advertised specs? The "26" sure isn't what is specified to be, so I'm curious if the "28" is also undersized.

I was afraid to buy the M/T #6652 because I was also told it was less than 26" tall but I bought them and I was very happy to see they were about 26.25" tall mounted on my 4" wide rims. I'm extremely happy with the way they look and drive.

That particular thread is part of what steered me away (no pun intended... although it's a good one ) from the M/T. ////////////////// It's a moot point now. I've got a pair of the M&Hs, along w/ a few other items, coming from Jeg's this week.

Cool. I've never used an M&H tire I didn't like. I bought my first pair in 1982.
