I was just wondering since its a turbo car as I believe they dont usually 60 ft as well as N/A because of how the turbo spins up ? But I really dont know and thats why I was curious ? Thanks , Ron

It's been 1.38 on the street tires. DEFINITELY tire limited, not power/boost limited. I turn the boost down on the hit, but can have all the power in by about 0.3 sec Thanks. Ron

I think over time, the roles have reversed. I am much more cautious about a car at a race that looks "normal" Than a car that looks "racy".

Here is a pair of my old cars, but as far as sleepers go, the Valaint on the left is better I think. Bought it in 1987 and since the early 90's it was somekind of a factor here in street racing. During the years it had several drivetrains, the first one was a hopped up 360 and the car run low 13's on street tires. After that in went a 440 and it run low 12's, still on the factory tires and 3.23 gears. Next evolution was a 451 based on a 400, with 3.91 gears the car run 10.54 on ET Streets, still naturally aspirated and on pump gas. At best it was propably with the 528 or 535 engines, run 10.3's with the former and 10.4's with latter, with 275/60 tires and 3.23 gears. Also had a cheater nitrous kit, but never used it at the track. It was a real fun car, althouogh a bit too well known..., still got to surprise some cars that thought they were quick, and also some motorcycles. However, each story has an ending and so did this one too, so let's be careful out there!

Driver and the apssanger were ok. The cage is regular tubing for 8.5sec, the front end was reinforced with square tubing. Seemed to work pretty well...

I think over time, the roles have reversed. I am much more cautious about a car at a race that looks "normal" Than a car that looks "racy". So true. I remember when I was running mid 11's with my old 440 and I lined up next to a Nova that looked like a very fast race car with big slicks and a big cowl hood. Thought I was going to get my a$$ handed to me and to my surprise he ran a low 12 at about 110 mph as my 11.60 something spanked him. So you never know which way the sleeper look can go. Ron

Mine looks pretty subdued and most people have no idea what the car even is. They look puzzled when I say Dodge 330. I grudge raced it on Friday nights all Summer this year and had a ball! I even won some money at the Nostalgia races with it.
It may get a 150 shot next year after the rear suspension is sorted to make it a consistent 10 second car.
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.
