The low gear set that Mopar use to sell for the 727 had a different 2nd gear ratio than the standard stock 2.45 gear sets had, I don't remember that ratio now
That car went the fastest with that low gear set up and rear gear ratio
I did notice that it went into high gear sooner so it did spend more time in high gear than it did before also Thinking back now I kinda wish that I had made one change at a time but I didn't. The Aluise family in Maryland ended up with that car in 1990 and spent a lot of time and money on turning it into a rocket ship, it held the NHRA AS/A record a number of times in the 1990s.

when you add the wide ratio 274 low it also changes 2nd gear ratio!
