You can header wrap the pipe near the t bar to help it last longer and to be honest I hope you get brand new bars not used just my opinion.

I had the same issue . Swapped rear tyres at track after racing , as i tightened lug nuts drivers bar just let go . Nice sound no . I replaced both with 870/880 small block bars . I tried 940 bars , hurt the sixty noticeably

Ok thanks guys, good advice, I'll look for a deal on new 920 bars for my big block street car.
