There are people that do steering wheels, carburetors, hood hinges, etc., how about seat tracks?

Hmm. Seems it's a wide open market that could use a vendor😎. It is time consuming and you have to have a blaster and parts washer. I have found that are some people that just don't want to take the time and some just don't have the talent or tools to do the job. Most realize that the vast majority of the Chinese repops just don't meet the standards of the original part.

Always done mine myself (in batches), but I'm sure there are people that would prefer to have someone else do them. Don't know of anyone offering it yet. You should do it.

I had Pete's Resto (California...somewhere) do some a few years ago, but I am not sure if he does that any more.

I restored a set for one seat years ago. It had been slid to far and was missing one of the ball bearings. I think I found the right size ball bearing to replace it at a local transmission shop. It was easier to take apart than it was to put together.

Are the reproduction seat tracks not any good? I hadn't heard anything about them.
I was considering buying a set, but I think I've managed to get enough extra seats now that I can use originals.

Cody, did you get new springs? One of mine (the long one, not the yellow ones) broke the end off during disassembly and I'd like to get a replacement but have not seen anyone selling them....thanks!

Haven't had to find springs yet as I had a few extras. Sorry I can't help more.

Thanks anyway - anyone else have any idea where to get the long springs?

I would think scavenging the spring from other, less popular vehicles would be easier. Seat tracks are typically only different in angles and heights and may not be different in the spring/latch area.
