'99 dodge ram 2500 v10. Am trying to find the fuse for the cruise control. I have looked in the obvious places but maybe its labeled something other than the obvious. The cruise control does nothing other than the light coming on the dash when the button is pressed. Any help appreciated. Thanks! If the dash light is lit, then the circuit/fuse is not blown, it could be the switch itself, a vacuum connection from the cruise servo, or worse case the clockspring on the steering column

I can check the above suggestions but I'm still dying to know where mopar hid/disguised the fuse for the cruise control. I don't have the FSM. Just a Haynes Manual and it tells you pretty much nothing. Can anyone tell me where the fuse is??? IIRC there is no fuse after 96 models, power to the cruise is off the PCM

FWIW you can download the complete FSM free off the net. Could you provide me a link to get the FSM free. Everytime I think I have found a free site, it wants CC info. As far as turning on the cruise control, I guess I'm doing it correctly. I hit the cc button, I see the CRUISE light up on the dash. I am traveling approx 65 mph and then hit the set button. Nothing. Nothing will catch and the truck starts to slow down.

traveling approx 65 mph and then hit the set button. Nothing. Nothing will catch and the truck starts to slow down. You have to do it in this order: Hit "cruise" - light turns on Hit "set" - nothing happens but it allows the use of the other switches Hit "resume/accel" - vehicle will achieve last set speed - may be faster BUT could also be slower !! When you hit your desired speed with either the "resume/accel" or "coast" switches you have to hit "set" to maintain that speed. If you hold the "resume/accel" switch to speed up to pass, it will resume the set speed once its released.

When I click on it, it says: Link not found. Thanks anyway. I'll try downloading the FSM for the '01. Sorry, I took it down this morning, thought you'd already gotten it. Robert

If you hold the "resume/accel" switch to speed up to pass, it will resume the set speed once its released. No. From the 1999 Dodge Ram owners manual. This is the same way every modern Dodge that I have owned has worked. To activate - Push the ON/OFF button to the ON position. In the instrument cluster, the word "CRUISE" illuminates when the system is on. To Set At A Desired Speed - When the vehicle has reached the desired speed, press and release the SET button. Release the accelerator and the vehicle will operate at the selected speed. To Deactivate - A soft tap on the brake pedal, normal braking, clutch pressure while slowing the vehicle, or pressing the CANCEL button will deactivate speed control without erasing the memory. Pushing the ON/OFF button to the OFF position or turning off the ignition erases the memory. To Resume Speed - To resume a previously set speed, push and release the RESUME button. Resume can be used at any speed above(refer to the table below for the speed for your specific engine).
