I have a orange box that I think when it gets hot it does not let the car fire / no spark , I bought a chrome box new in the sealed package , the OHM readings are close but the last pin looking straight at the plug on the top right side doe snot register on the OHM meter , the orange box does so what is up , the chrome box has a higher RPM limit could that be the cause of it not registering on the OHM meter? anybody have OHM readings from a good working ECU box?

No ohm readings to offer but I would narrow it down with your meter to if it is an ecu or pickup or coil or connector/wiring issue & if it is the box then the Chrome MP box you have is a good choice

If the newer box has 5 pins the fifth one is a dummy.
See picture of newer chrome box.

It has four pins , the OHM readings were a bit different from the orange box , I installed it (MP chrome box) and it runs fine so I will see what happens , thanks again for all your suggestions.
