Anyone have knowledge of the factory reverb units used in 1969?

I saw the speaker that was couples to one once. It had two voice coils.

They were quite AWESOME in my opinion. I always wanted to do a "STEREO" system using two units, one for each channel
IE: L & R, front and rear . popcorn

The unit in my 69 GTS has patent pending stamped in it with an ink stamped part number. Did it show up on the broadcast sheet? Was it available with both am and fm? How long was it available? How rare is it?

I don't remember the reverb units being popular after 1965, the new FM radio and AM radios with built in tape players where taking over in the mid 1960s shruggy
I'm no authority on those type options, just passing on what I remember from those days long gone by shruggy

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

Would a numbers matching reverb trump a Hemi or Six Pak?

Curious.

The reverbs used a spring/transducer unit from Hammond Organ. And yes it would TWANG if U hit a bump and radio ON but not tuned to a station...
Most of the aftermarket units were sold under the Motorola brand, don't know about the Mopar version most likely built by Motorola... Back in 66 the retail price of the Motorola including (1) 6x9 speaker was $29.95..

Just my $0.02... wink

Ah, yes, the old Motorola Vibrasonic. Probably more sold in the aftermarket than from the factory.

For the youngsters that haven't heard of it:

I had what I believe was a dealer installed one in my 67 Coronet. In was kind of net to play with at first, but after a while I never turned it on because sound was pretty cheesy.

I believe 1966 or 1967 was the last year for a factory installed unit

after that, they would've been dealer installed or over-the-counter
