I bought a gm one wire alternator from a member here last year and finally made the brackets and mounted it. I ran a #8 wire directly from the alternator to the battery, I also hooked the factory wire that feeds the car to the alternator too. Are there any issues with wiring it this way?

For a drag car, if you hit the kill switch, the engine should quit. If it's wired properly, then your golden.

Is it just the way it looks in the picture or is your alternator out of line. It looks like the alternator is mounted to far forward which will throw your by off.

It's just the angle the photo is taken.

Good deal. You will love that one wire. I ran mine through a heavy duty starter solenoid that I bought from Napa for snow plowing but that's up to the guy doing the job.
