Can you program them yourself if you only have one key? I seemed to have lost one and can't find the darn thing. I don't want to go to the dealer and pay their prices (haven't called yet) if I can do it myself. I saw online you can program it, but need two working keys. The online instructions said to insert one working key, then the other, then the non programmed one. Could you do the working key twice or does it really need two keys? If anyone had replacement keys done, how much did it cost?

I've been in this situation a couple of times and from my experience you're out of luck without 2 existing keys.

Many locksmiths can program the new key so you don't have to go to the dealer. I price-shopped by phone and one local locksmith was much cheaper than the dealer so I used him. Hope this helps.

It's the key fob that gets inserted and spare metal key that's on the other end. Not a physical key that goes in the ignition.

Look in your owners manual and see what it says. I do remember on the late 90's and early 2000 Caravans you could program them if you had a good programed key. You could even turn the horn chirp on and off with one good key. I dont remember on the 2008 but it should tell you in the owners manual. Ron

I'll look at the manual today at work. I turned the horn on so it beeps when I lock the doors. That's in the personal settings I can get from the steering wheel controls.
