Well we finally have a car with a running engine. Trying to get this all done has seemed to be an never ending task. We cleared one more hurdle this weekend by having the car finally make some noise. As I posted before the engine was dynode back in March and we finally got around to get it all wired up and running in the car yesterday. Our version of fireworks This is the initial start up for the first time. So excuse the smoke from burning off residual stuff but it is in and running now. So that is one big hurdle cleared. We still have a could little gremlins to address and cleaning up of the wiring etc but for now it makes noise. Have a ton of stuff off getting coated and a few more cosmetic things to get to but we are getting there. Now back to DC I go in a couple weeks. Enjoy hopefully not to boring. Oh yeah I decided since it was making noise to make a little extra too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcfKz0d9xgQ

Congratulations. Man seeing all that help around makes me envious. Its always been just my Son and I and now he's 26, has a girlfriend, regular sex, and their own apartment 12 miles away. He's kinda lost the racing bug and financial ability to do it right now and my interest to work on them is slowly leaving. Hope all goes well when you hit the track.

You can always tell when somebody has their act together - fires right up for the first time without any reality TV drama - no start, back fire, fuel leak fire, etc, Congrats! Sounds BAD!

Am I the only one who noticed that the oil pressure was dropping off pretty quickly? Are you running a indy aluminum block? Oil pressure seemed low for only a short run time. Are you ok with it?
BTW, the attention to detail is perfect. I love it. Not worried about the oil pressure. It will drop to 25ish psi once it warms up as it did on the dyno. Oil temp was right at ambient at 107. We will be preheating the oil once we start racing, and chillin the water eventually. Still has the break in oil in it as well. It is a World Block that has had a TON of modifications done to it..Just need to clean up the wiring now and start putting her back together.
