Getting close to the end, (25 years) and the gap that's open at the end of the gutter looks like it needs some sort of sealant there.
I don't remember what it looked like before, seems as if water could easily get into the rear window cavity leaving it open??
And if used, was it painted?
Thanks, Joe Without pics, I'll assume your talking about the roof's drip rail edge were it ends on the roof (C-pillar)base of the rear qtr window?, if so?, it is open for about the last 1" or so, no sealer, I'll assume you have the gutter trim and/or the qtr belt molding off the car so it appears even more "open"...if this is the case?, once you apply all the trim it finishes off and transitions over the "gap"

Now I don't know if I'm missing a piece or I've put the trim on wrong, but the stainless gutter trim ends at the end of the gutter and the belt moulding goes up and around to meet the gutter.
I can see the back of the belt moulding where the gutter ends and nothing to prevent water from entering at the rearmost curve of the window opening??
The belt moulding seems properly installed as it conforms to the fastener holes. Maybe some one can post a picture of it finished to clarify....thanks, Joe is this the area?, if so you will see the back side of the belt molding corner where it turns up to meet the roof gutter stainless trim

I bought a tube of Permatex High Temp, red in color.
Squeezed a bead into the gap and smoothed it with a wet finger, problem solved!
It's a touch darker than my EV2, but hardly noticeable and a big improvement.
Joe Joe, hate to be a downer, but while silicone is a get sealer when used accordingly, it's also a retainer of water, your solution is actually going to promote a rust out area, a better product to use would have been seam sealer, painted to match
