When I was rebuilding my 70 Cuda about 15 years ago, I couldn't find a new 1970 only turn signal switch.
The main difference was the Emergency Flasher portion, and I ended up removing the guts of my 70 only Emergency Flasher switch from my broken turn signal switch, and installing them into a good 71 and up style turn signal switch.
That served me well for a long time, but the turn signal cam finally broke on that switch, and now I'm back to square one.
Does anyone make a good 1970 style turn signal switch with the correct 70 only Emergency Flasher style?
I see that Year One now has a listing for a 1970 replacement.
https://www.yearone.com/Product/challenger-cuda/fd93103#prettyPhotoHas anyone seen this in person or tried to use it? I can't tell from their pic whether it looks right.
Any other suggestions, or do I just need to repeat what I did before?
Similar situation on the Dash Light Dimmer. The spring looking portion of my rheostat was corroded and broken. I cleaned it up and stretched what was left of the spring out to the right length and put it back together. It worked for about 7 years.
I was going to take the switch out and send it to Jules for a full resto, but never got around to it, and apparently he passed away in the meantime, so that's not an option anymore.
Is there anyone around these days that does good switch restoration?
It would be great if I could buy one and then send in my old one as a core or something once I had the new one installed.
