Yes they did. They came in 318-powered 73-76 A-bodies with standard cooling. Part# 3691916. Pretty rare piece.

This is pretty cheapy looking, but

PN 7354969 at NAPA. Just under $43.00. I dunno how much it will help, seeing as there is no bottom.

I used to care but....... things have changed

How so? You'd think they'd have knocked out quite a few.

I see alot of the GM guys using those. Looks like it only protects your fingers from getting hit from the top. I can't see how it has any effect on cooling with no bottom.

My assessment comes from seeing about 50 A-bodys in the j-yards over the last few years and only seeing two with a 916 shroud (one I sold, one I kept). In the hotter climates (like where I live), most cars had AC which meant a 22" rad (/6 cars) or a 26" rad (V8 cars). 26" shrouds (3691909) are the most prominent here (got 3 in the garage, sold about 10 others).

seems like two of the chrome fans would make a complete circle. install one on the bottom and one from the top.

What he said, Nephews 75 Duster had the 19" with a shroud. First time I'd seen one myself.

But it also was a Canadian built/sold car.

Has a 22" in it now, hotter down here!
