My buddy has a 70 GTX 440. not a numbers cars and has a radiator out of a 72. #3574602.
He pulled the radiator and decided to upgrade instead of fixing after seeing the condition of the radiator. He doesn't want or need top of the line. He's just tired of worrying about over heating every time he gets stuck in traffic.

My Dad always told me, when setting goals " avoid disappointment, aim low".

I'd suggest a champion 3 row core from the guy (on here) who sells (& guarantees) em. (& a schroud and a MP thermal clutch fan (7 blades) properly spaced into the schroud)

Don't buy a U.S. Radiator though, nothing but problems with the POS I bought from them.

Call Glenn Ray......

Not cheap but the car will not over heat. Best money I have ever spent for the peace of mind.
