I'm looking to replace my cam chain assembly with one of the 'noisy' gear cam drives.
All the ones i'm seeing listed are for a three bolt design.
Does anybody do one for a single cam bolt design please?
Thank You gentlemen

I'm sure someone does, try Pete Jackson(SP?) dual idler gear brand scope A freind and fellow racer bought one for his BB Chevy back in the mid 1970s, one of the true arc snap ring ends broke off and went through his oil pump seizng the motor at the races down Almost any gear drive with straight cut gears will be noisy, the dual idlers sets are twice as noisy is my opinion shruggy

All I've ever installed and seen for B/RB are 3 bolt cam set ups, if there's a single bolt set up I'd like to know as well

I think these things are awesome, but some comments from elsewhere indicate there can be problems:

1. Oiling system not originally designed for gears, designed for chain.

2. Metal particals wearing off gears causing issues.

3. General aftermarket sloppy quality control/less than ideal fit

I'd like to believe all of this is false and a gear-driven cam is in my future, but I'm avoiding it until a proven system comes up.

Milodon and Moroso are the ones I know of. As far as I know Pete Jackson is gm/Ford only.

I know Pete Jackson used to make them. I have an unused 3 bolt still in the PJ box. It is 35-40 years old. I am sure the quality is better than the Chinese double idler gear drives that are available now.

Do you want one of these just for the noise? shruggy If so then it will do that but don't expect the engine to run any better than it would with a good chain.
