You qualified, but get Greg Anderson in the first round. Hope he can catch lightning in a jar and trailer Greg.

As of the last qualifying session yesterday, he's about .10 back of the higher qualified programs using the same cylinder head configuration, and .18 back from the top of the sheet where the symmetrical port programs are. Nice progress in just his second race, especially for a guy that does more in-house than anyone else in the class (designs & machines his own heads, manifolds, cams, clutch).

It's good to see him on the ladder. I wonder if AJ tried some new stuff during qualifying? He qualified 13th, Jeggie and EE have almost a tenth on him. ANderson has almost two tenths and four mph on him. AJ had 2 aborted runs on Friday went the quick passes were being made. Someone on Yellowbullet said Charlie received an oil-down penalty so I hope he didn't hurt his engine.

AJ said during the qualifying show last night that they have a gremlin in the car and can't find it. He said he short-shifted 2nd and it still tried to shake the tires, but he drove through it. I hope they can find it and get it fixed. They were running pretty damn good before this.

Someone on Yellowbullet said Charlie received an oil-down penalty so I hope he didn't hurt his engine. NHRA eliminated monetary penalties for oil downs in qualifying or time trails beginning with Englishtown. He did get hit with a point penalty in the 4th session, but his numbers weren't off, so he made it to the stripe under power.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
