I'm going out to the track tomorrow.. this will be the
first time on radials... 295/55 ET Streets... the car
will be the Rampage and will weigh 2850 at the line..
416ci 590 dynoed hp with a 5000 stall.. foot brake..
what kind of tire pressure should I start with.. the
weight balance is close to 50/50.. might be a little
less in the rear with 1/2 a tank of fuel.... I was thinking
about starting at 16#... any ideas guys.. I think I will work
mainly on 60' and maybe 330'
thanks for any ideas

Mike I've only ran 275s and 325s but both work well with 16.5-18.5 psi. I'm 400-450 pounds heavier than you though.

You got a 2# spread on them or is that 16.5 on the
275 and 18,5 on the 325

I run 325's and end up around 17#, 3600 race weight, ~48% rear, 1.6 60'. I started at 15 and worked my way up.

Which track you heading to? I was thinking of heading to Milan, but no ET days normally turn into a cluster.

I run 17 psi. At 3400 it was 17, at 3300 it was 17 and 3215 it was 17. Now I will move up or down .5 depending on what type of track I am on.

smaller tire, heavier car, but when the Satellite was on 255/60 radials I found my sweet spot at 17.5 lbs. For your combo, I'd start at 16 and work up until the 60 drops off.

Congrats on getting out. I haven't been here at Moparts much recently, but is this the first time out for the Rampage? If so, Congrats! Have fun, Mike!!

No its not the first time out... I have about 700-
800 miles on it... I have about 250 miles on it in
the last week... just in the last couple of days I
have the injection working pretty good.. had a minor
glitch this morning..acted like it went lean for a moment
but then took off.... trans has been working great since
I built it

I was gonna go to Lapeer just for some quick testing... gotta
load up my little trailer(my DW one with all the stuff I want
to take on DW)... just to get a feel of the whole rig and how
it pulls ad see how the mileage is... was about 16.4 mpg the
other day after getting the injection going... I think it
will do a bit better once its fully learned... I still want
to put the W-5s back on in the next few weeks

18.5 seems to be the sweet spot for me on mt 3754x, don't be afraid to go higher.

Couldnt make it out to the track.. forgot I had to
take the wife.. she cant drive yet from surgery....
but she gets out of her brace on Tuesday it looks like.
she had to be there at 1 and I just got home.. maybe
next week.. cant go tomorrow
EDIT
Was sorta funny... I was finishing packing up the
little trailer and backed the Rampage up to it and
the wife asked.. where you going... I told to the
track and she asked if I forgot about taking her to
therapy...... yep I forgot all about it... so I pushed
the trailer back in and pulled the Rampage back in the
shop
