Matt asked if he could borrow my worn out Edelbrock headed 408 for last years Halloween Classic. Once it was in his Duster I'm having a hard time getting it back and he finally made some 1/4 mile hits running a 10.12@130mph pass yesterday. It still has the 750 carb of of his 360 engine so before the year is over it may dip in the 9's.

Thanks Randy. He gave up the stripe in the semis but I'm a proud Father and he had a great outing for his first time out this year. Met some more Moparts members and had a great weekend. I'm about wiped out so I think I'll cook up some chicken wings and watch some NHRA drag racing

Good running car. Congrats to Matt. John, did you race? I tried but I had issues. I've been slowly leaning out my carb and missed the fact that my boosters were leaking BADLY. With Matt finally being at the track we caught the issue and changed out the needle and seats fixing the leaking boosters but on my first pass Friday I made a pass without thinking "man I may be lean Now". well I was lean and she laid-over and hopefully only took out a head gasket. But I suspect more. the engine will probably be coming out this week. With so many rain-outs this year my carb maintenance has gotten sloppy and with alcohol sloppy causes issues.

Nice seeing you guys there. Had a great time. Doug Great finally getting a chance to meet you both and get a chance to do some BSing. Doug I knew that car of yours was beautiful but until you get a chance to see it in person and walk around it as others have said its unbelievable. That ugly green car had people shaking their head all weekend long and when I told them it was a small block 360 they shook their head again. Sorry we both had issues but we will get them next time
