Getting ready for the season, wishing we had a lighter and more up to date chassis but this will have to do. Put the old hemi and the self along with all the nitrous stuff and got the new motor in the car. Should be a pretty big learning curve. There has been some talk on the 99 Hemi stuff and I plan on testing how far we can go with this power plant.

Plan on running the car on north west coast. woodburn raceway, seattle, mission, Edmonton.... anything within 1000km of myself. The motor is a 5.0 bore space motor. When I purchased the motor, it was suppose to be one of the, if not the highest HP cast motors in 5.0 bore space the builder had done.
Old motor was a alum 580inch hemi with 1 fogger system went 7.9@170 with lots left in tune up and nitrous system. I didn't plan on changing but winter is long and I got click happy on the internet....... The rest was history!

Really nice to see more guys using 99 stuff. What kind of block and how big (if it's not secret squirrel stuff)?

the only person we keep secrets from is our wifes......

The block is a bodix 5.0 bore space chevy block with an 11.625 deck height. Motor is 648 cubes. 5.0 bore space i believe is going to become the future. With the limitation of parts dodge guys have, and also the pushrod angles and valve train challenges! My old hemi is a nice piece. Its a RA-1 headed all alum motor with a sheet metal intake and one fogger. 580 cubes. This new motor should destroy it power wise, and i don't have to baby sit the bottles. I love nitrous but when you can make more power and cook turkey burgers in between rounds...........

We just got a Hemi 99 old pro stock engine (500) could use your help on our change over, like to find out what trans, what size carbs, rear gear, convertor size, flex plate adapter, what shift rpm what you turn thru the 1/4, if you had motor dynoed
any thing else that you came across what you did yours.
Can post some pic's later.

Thanks JIM

Don't think he made it but could be wrong have not talked to him the last few days. I think you may find he is not such a happy camper with it right now either. His motor and the smaller PS stuff will have some different requirements to in converter etc. He also has a Chevy bolt pattern on the back IIRC so no adapter needed.

Al
Can you give me some info on your combo
Not sure if I should go with this HEMI 99 or build another predator engine.
Our 496 is a little small for what we are trying for, can only get it to run 6.90s now.
Thanks JIM
