I have always been told that 1966 Dodge Darts made in Canada were Valiant Signets. I've seen several Canadian Valiant Signets that were indeed Dodge Dart GTs with different badging.
I just finished parting out a Canadian made 1966 Dodge Dart GT. It was a yellow paint, black interior Dart GT, with floor shifted auto, and 225 six. It had full Dart GT badging, and was indentical in every detail to an American made Dart GT. The VIN on the door frame had the words "Made in Canada" embossed on it below the Number, and it was definately an Ontario car that found its way down to Minnesota.
I'm not sure if this is common knowledge, but I thought it might be of interest to someone.

Wow, according to Valiant.org/canada, 1966 models were indeed Valiant Signets. This car had as I said before, "Made In Canada" on the VIN plate on the door frame, and it was an LP23 car. I didn't keep the VIN, but I did keep the fender tag. I will email the website and tell them.
Pretty cool.

Windsor made cars for the USA market as well as Canada.Meaning it's possible to have bought a Dart GT in the US that was made in Canada. All the long wheel base A bodys in Canada were rebadged as Valiants. They have some unique interior appointments as well.

I sold a U.S. built 1965 Valiant Signet about 3 years ago that was all original. It was basically the sister car to a 65 Dart GT. 273 V-8, A/C, PS, bucket seats, console, vinyl top, 3 spoke wookdgrain steering wheel.

I don't see that I would call a Canadian Signet an ACTUAL Dart GT but rather a sister car to it.
