My buddy ordered a set of the front hood moldings for his 69 swinger. They came from RPM here in Canada and were crap. Made in Taiwan ..didn't come close to fitting.

year one has this molding set... is it the same cheap crap?

I bought a set from Jack's in Jersey. They fit nice. Not that expensive (when I got them) either. Like $60 or $70.

I have talked with two different 67-69 Dart owners and both said the three piece aftermarket front of the hood moulding was too short.

As far as I know they are made by Corvex which is a part of Golden Leaf. The last batch of 1000 sets that was run are crap....too short by at least an inch.We fired the 3 sets that we had in stock in the garbage. They are apparently being retooled but I have no delivery date.

I have a very nice original one that is nice enough to go on a survivor type car..Nice anodizing and a few light scratches. Pm me if interested before it hits e-bay. I seen aftermarket ones and they are a waste of $$$$...

The one 67 Dart owner showed me the aftermarket mouldings he bought and told me don't waste my money on them. He showed them to me against the front of the hood and they looked about 3/4 of a inch short on the ends.
