Third rock from the sun.
Local shops got a deal on a set of Flowtech's he ordered in for a project that went away, big block b-body. My research not coming up with many positive results for Flowtech. I'm using Doug's in my small block a-body, fit perfect. I don't know anything about the Flowtech for a 440 b-body. I'm inclined to stick with Dougs but the price on these is really good. Any experience with the Flowtechs??

Oh yeah, it's a hybrid.....it burns gas and tires!

I ran them on a 440 in a '70 RR. I had to clearance the driver's side a little for the stock starter. Otherwise, they fit well and sealed well. They were what I could afford at the time. Given the choice now, I wouldn't buy them since they're Chinese. Sick of getting crap Chinese parts.

TTI's are US made, you get the quality you pay for, and that's how it should be. On my current project, I'm running stock manifolds until I can afford TTI headers.

I got a brand new set for my 85 truck with 318, beat 12" of the #1 tube flat and still would not fit the chassis. flowtech = junk IMHO!

I would go with a hedman set myself.

I have 2 sb sets for my 2 trucks and a set of the 79250 bb truck headers in my 88 440 truck.

it has been said b body headers fit the d series truck chassis with a slight trim off the frame top edge for clearance.

I would be looking to see if the hedman 79250 would fit in your b body.

I bet they will fit because they don't need the trimming in a truck chassis so should fit in the b body engine bay with room to spare maybe.

not sure what the hedman part# for their b body is.

I have Flow Techs in my truck too. They fit fairly well, but make sure to check to see if the sealing beads on the flanges match the gaskets. I have one that misses the gasket and leaks. Personally, I would pass on Flow Techs too, especially in something they may be tough to get in and out of.

I have a set of b body flowtechs on my Diplomat, they fit just fine for me.

They have plenty of plug wire clearance with the angled plugs of the Edelbrock heads, better than iron heads surprisingly.
