Startin' to get the hang of the car and am pretty happy with how it performed in it's second race (broke at the Open in Bowling Green).

Thanks to the great car Mike Roth built and an incredibly reliable engine Steve Morris put together, I didn't even really push the tree or chassis to win in Top SS. It was a blast


Unfortunately went out 1st rd of SS today, went 9.28 on a 9.30 (left the extra 170 lbs in, but no head wind) vs Doane who went a 10.15 on a 10.16, dual breakout, essentially equal lights @ .051.

Congrats to Barton and Teuton who really got the job done in their Hemi's and took them all the way to the final in the big race

Hopefully we'll keep makin' progress at Joilet, maybe with a new bullet from Morris

mr2performance, on the second car, I know where we can find a really nice red '68 to start with, just sitting outside someone shop

geoff,, why have 170lbs in it when the extra needed for top s/s is only 125lbs?

Because between the big weight bars under the car and the krispy kreme donut addiction , it weighed 3,385 with me in it.

After watching others struggle to get down the track consistently, I decided to leave it all in and then on Sunday, just go bracket racing. Of course, that unfortunately ended 1st rd, maybe next time.

Had there been another hemi in the other lane on Sat. or an SS/AH on Sun., I might have taken one of the smaller bars out of the back. (or backed off the krispy kreme's for breakfast ).

thanks for the kind words Richard, and thanks for showing us all who the pizza man is. If anyone wants to know, just look at pizza mans post history. It started out as buckeye 45, then changed to ohio joe. Now his name is john pizza and he is from mi. He is from mi, but his name isnt john. This may not be the place for this, but I didnt start it. I dont need someone with mental issues coming on a site with potential fans, customers, etc. saying that I am rude to the fans.
