I thought so ,now we know why he runs so quick in BA.I see he runs quicker than some of the AH cars at times.

Thank you for the pictures of Chuck car,I hope he makes it to Indy this year,I would like to see that car in person.One FAST MOPAR for sure.

I would tell you about the NSCA race,but I didn't feel that you would want to hear about the Ford that won or the bowtie that was runner-up/

DIV 3 Points race this weekend at Stanton,michigan.

Also Sat night at the same race Top/SS race.

Lots of Advertisement on the Radio for this with the Warfish as one of the Draws,and lots of Super stock racing.

SS/AH CARS that should be at the race.

This is good news...but $20,000 in prize money for the whole year? Seems a little weak for the great press this gives them.
I would love to know what they spend on other events that don't give them near the exposure
These guys need to line up with someone or something that will pump up these races. I wouldn't hold my breath for NHRA or Mopar to make them any money.

The race at the US Nationals pays $10000.00 to the winner,and all of that is from Mopar. NHRA only pays the winner what ever they pay for class winner at the Nationals. Mopar and the Hemi guys really promote this race,Nhra really only cares about the Pro's

Yea 10-4 on that. There is a nice article with Ogburn about this subject, in the last Dragster. He is thinking outside the box for sure. I belive that is what it will take.

Michael Ogburn has been posting $$$ for many of the shootouts in the last few years, including funding all of the west coast shootouts. He even gives the racers travel money out here. He loves the class and is doing all he can to promote it. He's got an entire package together that could be awesome...getting NHRA's approval is the only hindrance in the whole deal.

Just got the ND today. The article is good but rather misleading, too. You get the impression that Ogburn has this huge racing payroll. Besides my Dad and brother, who get paid when they work on the cars, the rest of us are volunteers. Michael generously pays our travel costs to attend the events in exchange for the work we do behind the scenes or at the track. Jerry drives the semi and, as compensation, gets all the costs of operating his racecar paid for. None of us have quit our day jobs yet!
