I found this one in the '78 Milehigh's pile (1st annual). The car had one of the best Candy red paint jobs I have ever seen  And it was a stick car  Haven't seen it in a long time

For all you guys that want to race heads up,Here is a site that is new that is starting to get attention. www.topssracing.com They have some great Ideals on this subject alone with some races that are coming up. The Div 3 race in July at stanton,michigan is going to race this class,Heads up chev,fords,mopar's just what track owners need to get fans back in the stands.

Mike ~ No, we aren't in Fontana this weekend. We are done racing until Indy, we've been pretty busy since Belle Rose so it's time for a break. It takes Dad a while to get everything freshened up for Indy. Besides, it's going to be 100+ in California today. My swimming pool sounds a heck of a lot better than a hot racetrack!  There are a few hemis at Fontana, however. It's very hot there so the times aren't any that will make headlines! Here is what I was told: John Raines 9.07 Mark Vierra 9.01 Bob Mazzolini 9.00 Rick Houser 9.06 Dave Raybourn Putted down track, I assume just for grade point Chuck Rayburn (SS/BA) 9.20-something

MrNoBody you`re slipping ,I had to see that Chuck Rayburn qualified #1 at a points meet in Ca. at a 9.10 on Drag Race Central instead of here! Man that car is cool!

I have been trying to find a picture of Rayburn car, That has to be the best SS/BA car running,no wonder he can run the Hemi Shootouts with it.That is a cool car.

Julie, Is that one of your fathers motors in Chucks car and are you guys involved in the car in anyway., just wondering as it seems most of the good running Hemi cars out there are. I noticed Bob Mazzolini thanked your father in his list of people to thank for his win in Vegas.

Chuck built his motor. I think he will tell you, however, that my Dad was of great help to him. Dad built a very baseline motor for Mazz and Mazz has worked with it since.
