Hey guys, I'm tying to decide on some wheels for my 72 Duster, right now it has 17x8's on the rear with 5.5 BS and steelies on the front, thats how I bought the car and it has large bolt rear and small bolt front drums. I'm switching over to front disks off a 73 Duster to make it the big bolt patern all around and I'm either going to try to put the 17's up front and get wider 17's for the rear, or get 15s all around.
Question is will a 15x8" rim with 4.5" backspacing fit on the front of a 72 Duster with 73 disk brake setup? If not whats the widest front rim that will fit and with what backspacing? I saw a deal on the 15x8's with 4.5" bs thats why I ask. Also why on the subject whats a good size tire for the front of a Duster?
I'm going to be going with a 10" wide rim in the rear (springs moved and soon to be mini-tubbed) and would like the widest rim in the front that will fit comfortably. Thanks

Meaning? Will it stick out too far? Too wide?
