It has a Ford 289 and C4 in it for now, plans are for a Gen 3 Hemi in the future

I thought it would have weighed more

My 39 Plymouth weighs 3000lbs with a 360 air conditioning on the Dakota frame. I thought it would be more with the heavy truck frame. boogie

"....... I'm surprised it's that low........"

Actually I'm surprised it's that heavy. I know first hand the sheet metal is relatively thick (heavy) but physically it's still a pretty small package. The SBF/C4/8"(?)is a pretty light weight drive train.

I was hoping mine would be around 3000 when it hits the road but with the first gen Hemi/46RH/Dana 60 I'm guessing now it will be closer to 3200.

My 1940 had a 440, 727 and 8 3/4 rear. I had no interior other than buckets and a dash, it was 2910 pounds. I had to weigh it to get it insured.
