For those who don't get over there, Bucky replied to a post last night on classracer.com expressing some thoughts about the last few days. Just thought some may be intrested. Let's just race.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Lessons we teach our children..
Your daughter is in the 3rd grade. She is a good student. Yesterday she had a 100-question test that she had been preparing for the last few weeks. During the test she looked at one of the answers on the paper of her friend sitting next to her. Her teacher saw her. She copied the answer off her friend's paper. The answer she copied was .0932. The correct answer was .0937. Today you heard your daughter, and her friends, at the front door, cussing, screaming, and having a temper tantrum about the wrong answer. You ask what is the problem? Your daughter replies, "I failed the test." My teacher says she saw me looking at Mary's paper and copying the answers. She said I was cheating and the proof is that I had the same wrong answer for question 68. That is not fair, why did I fail because of one answer, when all the rest of my answers were correct? Mary had the same answer and she did not fail the test. Johnny looked at her test paper and copied some answers, I saw him. He didn't fail the test. One little answer wrong, and it was only wrong by a little bit, a lot of other people did the same or worse, and now she says that I cheated.
What do you tell your daughter ??

I'd tell my daughter to stay off the internet because there are a whole bunch of people that talk out their backsides and don't know when to stop whining about things that dont matter to them. Give it a rest already.

In support of Bucky and ALL SS/AH competitors.

It takes hundreds of parts to put one of these cars together. Some of you are saying Bucky bought a set of carbs from a reputable shop and should have read the rulebook and noticed how long the throttle plate screws were sticking out of the throttle shaft? Give me a break!

It does matter to all of us --- we are MOPAR Fanatics and want the HemiShootOut to be the premier event in drag racing - above reproach!
I, also, support Bucky and all SS/AH racers. This is not about Bucky - he is the victim -- it is about being responsible for the condition of your car - Travis and friends were the one's that got out of hand.

I great post.

Guys there are people that are trying to promote the shootout to sponsors to bring money into the Hemi shootout series,Fans seem to respond to these cars, and the fan base seems to be growing very fast, whats not to like about these cars heads up racing a great history about the cars and mopar racing. Sponsors are starting to take notice and I think a few are getting ready to jump on the band wagon as this grows with the fans.

So I think what P9x25 is saying is any violation of the rules is bad press for this great series, just make sure you are looking at everything and make sure its within the rules.
I myself belive Nhra would like nothing better than this class to go away, because they will take lots of heat from the Pro's,for some reason they think any money that is out there they should get.

Just look at the numbers of members that moparts have, and its a great site,so lets keep it that way,as a lot of people are looking.

NHRA has an acceptable replacement rod spec. I would suspect that most are using the Oliver rod. And I believe that the RPM's are closer to 10,000
