Are You sure you read the casting # right, my book don't show that # I do have a 3462346 for 71-72 383,400,440 Open chamber ,6 bolt valve cover,2.08 intakes and 1.60 exhaust ll

He said the head is off a 70 model 440 that was a HP engine.

probably a 346 a garden variety BB open chambered head. nothing special & would not have hardened seats.

I got(way more)time than money which explains why I am on here all the time . PS I'm thinking that some 346 heads started getting induction hardened(seat) sometime in '73 but if yours are 70's they wouldn't be & when you clean the later ones you can see the discoloration around the seat if it's there. tell me how nice it is down there
