I have seen both, zero as well as some. Any, .005 and above, is not good in my opinion twocents How bad do you want the driveshaft to stay in place at WOT work I've lost a driveshaft at the top of high gear(front U joint broke puke) on the street, not good at all whiney The driveshaft loop kept the driveshaft in the car, thank God bow but it didn't help my teeth and back avoid the pain from the severe vibrations work I had to go through the whole car and retighten all the headers bolts, motor mount and tranny mount bolts and just about every other fastener in that car, 1970 Hemi Cuda with a clucth flyte tranny shruggy
If it wobbles replace it thumbs twocents

I'm looking at about .011" out at the rear yoke. Front is dead on. Second time I have had it built. First time it was .055 out! Guess it's time to find a new driveline company. Trying to keep business in my little town - - aint workin.

Maybe it's not the driveshaft, but the pinion yoke. Just something else to check.

I've measured a few. Seen very few below .030" total indicator runout. Rotate it on the rear yoke and recheck. I can tell you mine is around .025". No vibration in the car at 150 mph with a 4.10@31"tire.

I'm dealing with that myself & I can see the runout on the shaft at the front ujoint. Would a bad ext housing bushing allow that? Could I have not gotten the shaft/ujoints perfectly in line when I changed the ujoints??

I will try the 180 rotation thing. Diff came with a 1310 rear yoke installed ( ford 9" ). Really don't know how to check it. Maybe rotating the u-joint 180 will tell me something?
