I'm tired of waiting, tired of the BS so I challenge myself to push an Edelbrock small block head past the 330 cfm mark. PISS on you guys and your delays we will hit that mark with your OLD head or else. I'm already past 318 with an intake bolted on and Harlan Sharp said they will supply me with a rocker(to push the stock pinch over) at at very fair price. STOCK pistons too. We are pushing the limits but tired or waiting. Oh ya I'm only up to a 2.08 vavle to so its user Friendly. GAMES ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you keep pushing that upper number you will lose it on the mid and kill the head.
Look elsewhere for power or run another head

and what is your race weight? Dywayne could barely get that from my indy head. he found water twice on one head. he was glad to get them out of his shop.

It went a 9.73@135.05 mph with a .030 over 360 block and flat top pistons in the middle of Summer last year. The block is in real bad need of a bore job. It has 5 hard seasons on it at that size. I bought some VERY nice Wiseco pistons for it but my Son has it in his Duster for now. The new pistons are .060 over so I have to sonic check the block first.

Matt you are absolutely right on the parts. That's the reason I didn't go that route this time. Also it seems that a lot of guys that know the GenIII stuff aren't talking unless you're buying something. So I went with a R1 Indy head deal.

I would have a lot money in G3 to run what I do with my 360-1 set-up. It went 6.02@113mph and I found more ET right after that and I still have a solid lift cam in that engine.

Your 422 is .12 quicker than the 408 and your just dying to spend 5k on victor heads when you could buy brand new hemi heads that will outflow them for $1200. Where you come up will the expensive hemi comedy routine every time is beyond me [/quote


I have 7500 in my 422 and it's nowhere near a maxed out effort and that includes the cost of the R3 block and way less in the 408 stock block engine. Every hemi build I see has been pretty expensive starting with the core costs to get the project moving along
