Engine Quest "magnum RT" australian SB heads. How do these compare to MP magnum RT heads(both unported) any quality control issues? Your thought please & thank you for your time.

I have a set of the Engine Quest heads on my 408 small block. Made 425 HP right out of the box. So flow seems to be great and really nice looking castings and valve jobs. I used the RT heads on another build a 360, hard to compare power output, but my impression is the Engine
Quest heads are a better value.

check the hughes engines site

the "iron ram" heads are the enginequest 318's....

BTW, it sounds like the MP R/T heads are discontinued....

So you are saying your heads made 425 HP with the stock out of the box 1.92" intake valves? Just wondering as I'm currently building a 408 and have those heads with 2.02's. Thanks

For the money they are hard to beat. I just had a set done by Ryan at Shady Dell. After a full port they flow 269@.600 intake and 201 exhaust.

I'd like to see a set of the EQ heads first hand. My only experience is with the factory magnum R/T heads and they are not the best quality castings around but plenty of potential to make good HP. A friend off mine has run 9.80's with the magnum r/ts and others have gone quicker.
