Our first outing of the year will be next weekend in Vegas at MATS. We are hoping to be there on Thursday so we can do some testing. We're only taking two cars. The new motor didn't perform to Dad's expectations on the dyno and it's already torn apart and changes being made. Jerry is going to drive the "HarCuda" and Jeggie will drive Ogburn's car for this event. Our top motor, "Seabiscuit", will be in Ogburn's car for the first time so we'll see how that goes. The cars are really quite different.

After that, we will be heading east for the Sportsnationals.

Thanks, Mike. Looks like the Vegas participation will be down, too. Charlie isn't coming out. DeFrank's new motor isn't ready so they're sitting out. I heard Mazzolini wasn't ready either. Looks like it's going to end up being more of a testing weekend for everyone rather than a shootout. Oh, well, I'm just so jazzed to get away from my desk for a few days that I don't care!! Keep us posted on Gainesville results!!

Not really on the subject, but I noticed there was also one brand X SS/AA car running. And it seemed to be pretty quick too.

Who could have thought a couple of years ago, that you could get a SS/AA race car by selling well in Tupperware parties?

Could someone explain the politics behind the "Vette" being there?

There are no more Hemis in SS/AA. All Hemi Cars are now SS/AH. So basically the vettes, which if i remember were in SS/BA, could be wrong on the /BA, but anywayz the vettes moved up a class into SS/AA. They won't be racing against darts and cudas.

Aren't the SS/AH cars only '68 models? At least in hte beginning it was like that, so the light '65 cars should still be SS/AA?

Thats still being decided. As of current i belive it is officially only the 68 cars. i know the 64 cars want in AH, just gotta wait and see what the NHRA does.

Whats funny is the Guy in the Vette used to have an AA Cuda years ago, if he would have put half the effort into the Cuda that he`s put in the Vette junk he`d really be flyin!
