Oh
I am trying to get ahold of him to see about where to get some 392 hemi parts.
Sent him a pm but nothing back yet.
MAYBE someone else can help.
We are getting ready to rebuild a 392 hemi for an old school pulling tractor and need to get some parts.
Who is a Good source for rebuild kits, new pistons, gaskets, etc ??
We know of PAW, Hot Heads but who else has stuff ???
I work with an engine builder and his sources don't have much or know where to get the stuff.
Any help would be Appreciated. pm me or ad to this thread is ok.
Thanks David

PAW is out of business and the parts have been sold off but the parts were bought by somebody, maybe Classic Industries? I have heard of these guys but don't know anything about them: shruggy

Then there is always Chuck Taylor, what kind of parts are you looking for?

Hot Heads has a bunch of early hemi products. Their website is terrible - but they are good resource.

Hot Heads is your answer, really. If you're trying to do a 392 on a budget, just stop now.

I second Hot Heads. PAW is still alive, here is a link to their Ebay store:
http://stores.ebay.com/Early-Hemi-Engine-Parts

That took less than a minute to find online.

Thanks Guys for the info. Tom sent me a pm also.
The guy is going to get the tractor running again for the nostalgia tractor pulling. It is just an exhibition class
but he wants it fully rebuilt so he doesn't have any issues.
We want to get forged pistons but everything else is just a basic rebuild.
I will have him check out the suggestions you guys posted.
Thanks, David

Oh
Thanks for the info. I passed it onto the engine builder.
I don't know any info on the tractor and will probably only see it if I go to a pull he is at. Not even sure what make it is.
He has had the 392 in it since the 60's and said he just took it out of the car and installed it in the tractor. It has been sitting since the early 80's but now he wants to play with it in the nostalgia class.
If I can get more info I will post it on here.
Thanks Again, David
