I have a 71 Challenger (non R/T) that I am rebuilding. I want to repaint the grille but when I called Totally Auto, they were saying that the only color on the 71 grilles were a dark argent. My grille looks more of a silver paint. Can someone post a pic of dark argent on a grille so I know what it looks like. Thanks

I don't have a pic, but in your pic it looks too light. 71's were the darker argent

The grille in the pic is what was on the car when I bought it. I want to take it off and r&r the grille with the correct paint. I just didn't know if it is the dark or the light argent.

It's the dark argent you need. Actually I think it was officially "dark/medium" as opposed to the light argent. It's not actually too dark!

Here is a pic of my car with its original grill. I bought the Totally Auto Dark Argent, have not used it yet but it had decent feedback as being very close to original. 'Exact' originality has been endlessly debated and considered almost unattainable unless you farm out to someone with the last remaining original tints etc, eg Alltrim. But for mere mortals, TA is good!

Your car would great with a black RT grill, IMO.
