Hi everyone!

When I close the hood on my '72 Satellite. The driver side corner at the windshield stays up about one inch, and I have to press it down by hand. If I pull up on that corner, it stays up again. I removed the spring to see if it has stretched, but it appears to be fine. I also tried different adjustments, but now I am completely stumped! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Common issue with worn out hood hinges...The pivot points are loose...RestoRick rebuilds hood hinges to better than new standards if you don't have another set...

Cool thanx! I just removed both hinges and freed them of their springs. The pesky driver side hinge was sloppy and the passenger side was tight.

I'll check out Resto Rick next. Everyone can relax now and take the rest of the day off. Oh wait! We have other members who need help... nevermind :-(

I have the EXACT same problem with my '72 Duster. For awhile I could just shut the hood and push that corner down, but now it pops back up after I drive a couple miles.
