use these differences as a guide only. the math calculations are correct, however the differences between tire manufacturers of the same tire sizes can be vastly [up to 1/2" or more] different. take two tires from say, good year and firestone, in identical sizes as marked on the sidewall. mount them on the same size wheel, inflate to the same psi. then measure width, diameter, and circumference. you will be surprised at the differences. or just put them back to back and see the different width and height without measuring anything. one of the main reasons newer 4WD and AWD vehicles say to replace all 4 tires at the same time instead of just the one or two you need to replace due to wear. just personal experiences and observations over a 50 year span.
