Being a vet, I try to pay attention to folks that take care of vets. It blew me away when he gave the $10k to the USO.

I showed my wife pictures of Warfish and told her what Charlie did. I also said that I will make sure to spend money with his sponsors. She agreed and said he was a class act. She sees mags laying all around the house with pictures of cool mopars, and of all those cars the Warfish is the one she will always recognize.

I am very happy he made the list. Thanks for remembering our guys in the field Charlie

I count 9 on NHRA.com. They still have them listed as SS/AA!!! There are 10 if you count Dave Thomas' Corvette. I guess they will correct the error later? I included Smyth's SS/A in my count of 9. Wescott lists his 426 as a Jeep!!!

Class runoffs for Stock and Super Stock have been done on Thursday in the past.
Come to think, is Super Stock running at the Gators this year? The Gators is one of the events that drop one of the Sportsman classes on rotation. This is what NHRA calls their 'enhanced program'.
IIRC, last year was Stock, year before was SG. I'll be dissapointed if it is Super Stocks turn this year with all the new cars coming out.

I wonder if the other racers get tired of CW winning, could they protest his engine combo since Jeep never used a 426 Hemi in any of it's vehicles? Or should they make him run GT since he is using an engine from another year and model?

Charlie has always listed his as a 426 jeep in all the nationals since he has been running in ss/aa.He also had a bowtie on the roof of his cuda,He did take that off it upset a lot of people. But he won a lot with the bowtie cars and his dad is still driving his super stock which is a gm car,until his cuda is ready.The engine in his cuda is the right engine and he has had to take it apart often for the tech guys at NHRA.That is what so great about charlie engines they are all legal and they go fast.And yes I guess they are tired of him winning, but he is young and one of the hardest workers you will ever meet and most people don't understand his sense of humor like the jeep thing.That is just charlie.

I hope a collector buys this car, need to keep these cars for the history,No racer will buy because they can built one and make it a top ten car for 250000.that car would cost another 100000+ on top of what they are selling it for to make it a top ten car.
