I want to refinish an original T/A hood and need to know what is the best correct paint to use? I also want to redo the front and rear spoiler and need to know a good correct choice for these.

The factory used organosol black textured paint. On my T/A hood and spoiler, we used a base coat clear coat, black base and used a 20% flatting agent in the clear. Turned out really nice, and its easier to maintain than the texured Organosol. Hope this helps.

That does look really good, unfortunately, shipping hazmat and being winter, wont allow for me to ship the paint needed to replicate OEM

Winter it freezes, most people only ship via UPS or Fed Ex up here. There stuff comes by air, and they wont fly hazmat
I ordered 6 cans of cast blast spray paint from totally auto and shipping with hazmat was $200. Cant imaging costs of gallons or quarts.

. . . Cant imaging costs of gallons or quarts. I know shipping to AK can be pricey (family up there), but have you called and inquired about shipping?

I have, its quite high, plus if i do buy it and pay the hazmat, i have to wait until summer so it doesnt freeze on the trip up. I love living here, but makes the cost of building cars skyrocket. Most cases, shipping is always more or double what the part is.
