I'm running the Mon leaf spring with the slider and Caltrac bars... I'm adding wheelie bars & the shocks are in the way... does anybody have photos on the way they've relocated their shocks.. I'm looking for some different ideas...

I'm not an expert but did you buy the Caltrac wheelie bars?
My understanding is the normal ones will unload the suspension. I'm not running wheelie bars but I did move shocks if it will help

How wide are your wheelie bars.. if the shocks are
in the way they must be real wide
EDIT
Looks like your gonna have to put a mount for the
bars just outside of the cast housing, inboard of
the shocks... or move the shocks.. you can add a
bracket to the shock brackets
My wheelie bars are on the shock brackets for the
lower bars and on top of the back brace for the upper
bars(8 3/4)
White.. I thought the pics were yours.. do you have
any pics of yours

Cal tracks like the single bar that locates near the trunk. People that I know that have tried the standard style bars have not had good results.

1957 ford 9in smooth housing. Kind of a neat piece. Good eye look a lot like a 8 3/4.

Stand the shocks up as much as you can(top will
move outward which will help control the rear end)
you will have room for the bars.. how wide are your
bars
EDIT
Whats wrong with the brackets that are hanging down
now.. inboard of the shocks. they look perfect

Well thanks for pointing that out and saving me hours of head scratching, wondering why you have so much better of a driveshaft angle than me at a similar ride height.

Now all I need is a pic of your bars.. but the way
I would put them on is the lower would go on the
bracket you show then if it has a heim joint out
at the wheel for the upper bar I would weld a U type
bracket on the back brace so the upper bar angles
inward... thats how I did my bars.. you can do the same
thing.... you might want to move the upper shock mounts
so the shocks are more vertical to give you a bit more
room for the upper bars.. but they would clear now

You have brackets with bolts and can use bushings to get the right spacing. Couple of thread inserts with rod ends in the front of the lower wheelie bar assembly attached to the brackets. Distance from the axle centerline looks OK.
You can move the shocks out some if you want or leave them. Put a couple of brackets on the top of the housing brace inboard of the shocks. Use a double bracket so you can use rod ends in double shear and don't get the rod end centerline too high above the axle centerline. LH thread rod ends in one end of the top bars for height adjustment without disassembling the bars. Run the top bars from the wheelhouse up to the brackets.
Top bars don't have to be parallel with the bottoms. In fact, I prefer them to be non-parallel to give the bars some side to side stability. Cant the top brackets out accordingly. Spherical rod ends will tolerate some misalignment but make the effort to keep everything in line.
I prefer to use rod ends at all attachment points rather than a clevis on a single tab.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

see the upper bars are angled inward
