Any suggestions to get this straight? It's an E-body heater panel. It's worse than the pic looks.

Thx

I just fixed a warped part of a console...just sloooooowly warmed it up with a heat gun, then set some weight on it to hold the area in place for it too cool...worked great

I use one of my wifes old hairdryers. Doesn't get as hot as a heat gun so you won't burn or melt the part.

I've had success with boiling hot water before and there is no risk of "burning" the plastic.

Thanks for the info,

How do you know it's hot enough, just keep heating until it's pliable? Do you guys do the whole part or just sections at a time?

As far as the cooling part, just let it air cool, or maybe put it in the freezer once it's straight?

Thx

I just let it air dry..

As for how hot...that is why I said slowly.. I just warmed up the area slowly until it was pliable enough to get to move...

Maybe practice on some spare plastic if you have it around?

it's better to keep trying to bend it while heating it up ,once it's warm enough and you get it back in shape,I'd hold it in bucket of cold water or hold it under cold running water if you have no access to compressed air, make sure to hold it in the shape wanted untill is cooled down
