At 3:30 on Tuesday the entry list for the Finals show 18 entries. Of course the race has been settled, but I thought it amusing that the seldem seen '15 Dart of Richie Stevens, Jr is on the list with the '15 Camaro sponsored by Gas Monkey Garage.

Any thoughts or don't we care anymore?

I know EE has won the championship, but couldn't tell you who is in 2nd on back. Heard Antron sealed the tf deal, but no idea who runnered up. I know Jack Beckman was running well, but heard something about Del heating things up too.... as long as none of the bucktooth brigade is in the hunt I'm ok... but couldn't tell you who is poised to win the big wally.

That said one of the baddest door slammer races is set in Vegas Nov 19-22. Street Car Super Nationals. I'll take watching 40 8.5 outlaw cars fighting for a spot in the 32 car field any day over a national event. Unfortunately I do have to work that weekend, but will get off and book up the highway in time to see the last chance Q sessions Saturday night. It's going to be GOOD!

Looks like Allen Johnson may be rethinking his future in NHRA. I wonder if the new rules will put him out of the picture.

I agree it will be a LONG winter! Both to WATCH racing again and for me to RACE again. It will be about 2 months longer before I race after I watch Pomona.

Pomona is 3 months away. That's a long time even as time flies as I get older!

The new rules will,,,,I THINK, will put some of the guys that have fallen off back on the grid. Teams running efficient at 11,000+rpm will have to hunt for 10,500 efficiency again. Guys who still have it nailed at 10.5 might have a corner to pick at. Add no more lean at the shift, thanks to efi, and it might be a real flip. Then again, it may be the same dog and pony show, who knows. My real hope is that it's interesting enough to continue. PS has always been the best form of drag racing to me

Most every team has been testing next years parts. They were down about 100hp at first, with cobbled up current intakes. Some are already down less than 50, even with the rpm limit, with better intakes. By the time the season rolls around, most will be fairly close to where they are now. The rpm limit will allow some lower budget teams to compete. So far, as expected, getting the intake right for the forward throttle body is the key

Did some split Dommy`s for Roger Holder and apparently he likes em and will be there w/Chuck Roberts so I just may make the trip to see the BADDEST on the planet getting it on. I totally agree that this race and races like it make N.H.R.A. look pale by comparison.......

I will watch because I enjoy drag racing as a sport. I will also add that I am not ready to jump onto the EE nutt huggers bandwagon. She is a good driver for sure but there are other drivers out there that I would rather follow. whistling

I`m just glad EE won it over Greg Anderson. There is just something about that guy that makes me not want to like him.

I'm looking forward to next season, IMO changes should've been made to the class several years ago.

As far as EE goes, I'm not a nut hugger or on the band wagon, but I am man enough to give credit where credit is due.

^This. I'll be in Vegas as well for SCSN. Haven't watched more than a handful of NHRA rounds all year.

That girl can flat-out drive a race car. Most of the professionals that started out in JR dragsters are making a mark in all the classes. Mia Tedesko (a Jr dragster racer) from Pittsburgh Raceway Park is doing well in the top alcohol class and just got her top fuel licence 2 weekends ago.

According to who?...............a drivers JOB is to drive and do it well, which she does. And although I am sure that most any wheel person out there could change a damn spark plug..........it doesn't matter to me in the least if they do.

Racing on the PRO level is very specialized. There are clutch guys, chassis guys, engine guys, trans guys, data guys and Drivers. They each have a job to do

I'm way more interested in the Winter Nationals 2016 Pro Stock entry list than I am in the Finals list...
